“Bridalplasty” is one of the worst TV shows I have ever seen. It’s reality TV at its worst, and I wasted 30 minutes of my life scanning through ten episodes of it this weekend. Once I realized how awful it was I skipped to the last episode just to see the before and after reveal.

The thing I found interesting was the groom’s reaction to seeing his bride for the first time in four months. She had had many plastic surgery procedures in an effort to make her a ‘perfect bride’. The thing he said in his after interview was how beautiful her smile was, and how great her teeth looked. He didn’t mention the nose job, or the lipo, he didn’t mention her dress or her hair. He specifically mentioned her smile. She had had some dental work and that’s what caught his eye.

Once again my thoughts about how important a lovely smile is are validated. Granted they are being validated by the worst TV show ever, but still a great smile is so basic to being attractive that $18,000 in cosmetic surgery is eclipsed by a gorgeous smile.
