Halloween Candy

by Alison

assorted sour patch kids 5October means candy and boy-oh-boy the stores are full of it. We love candy here in the dental office and a little bit, in moderation, as long as you have good oral hygiene is no problem. However, I was dismayed to see that one of my favorite kinds of candy is extra bad for teeth.

This article from TheInsider.com, which you can see with this link https://www.thisisinsider.com/the-worst-halloween-candies-2018-10#raisins-are-not-a-substitute-for-candy-11, says that sour candy is extra bad for your teeth, as the sour candy not only has sugar it also has acid. That makes sense as acid would give it that sour tang that I like so much.
Oh darn, I guess I will have to make do with chocolate this year.
