Good Time Teeth

by Alison

I love David Sedaris. The first essay, “Dentists Without Borders” in his book, “Let's Explore Diabetes with Owls” is a funny look at his own experience with socialized dentistry in France.

When complaining to his French dentist about the gaps between his teeth the dentist said, “You have what we in France call ‘good time teeth’ . . . why on earth would you want to change them?”

“Um, because I can floss with the sash to my bathrobe?”

Sedaris cracks me up. And while he was quite happy with his socialized dental care I see a real problem with a gapped-toothed smile. If a patient ever complained about the gaps between their teeth we would give them options to fix it. As I have blogged about previously we Americans like our, “Donny and Marie” teeth

If you have ‘good time teeth’ but would like to have ‘Donny and Marie teeth’ give us a call. We can help you with that. 703-532-1712
